CNC71 Motorsport halfshaft spacers for BMW TYPE 188 with a thickness of 5 mm prevent increased stress on the halfshaft joints by bringing their operating point to the optimal position.
The lowering of the car and the large negative of the wheels are the most important factors for increased wear on these components.
If you have a problem with twisting joints, and your vehicle is significantly lowered and/or the rear wheels are set in negative camber, conduct a short test - unscrew the joints from the flanges in the differential, lower the car to the ground and see what distance will be created between the half-shaft and the flange. If it will be too large for the joints to work within the optimal range provided by the manufacturer, it is recommended to use a spacer.
The use of one 5 mm thick spacer does not require the replacement of bolts, it is possible to install with the original bolts. If the distance between the half-shaft and the flange is too large, you can use 2 or more half-shaft spacers per side, but this will require changing the bolts to longer ones (additionally, it is recommended to use thread glue).
The product is made of steel and coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion.
